Well, starting from the beginning of my time...

1 from Starcraft who is still playing. Shes now into WoW.
I knew about 5-6 that played Tribes (the FPS game) years ago. Some still play now from my understanding.
Met a couple while playing Anarchy Online....

Currently, aside from the one in WoW? Probley two outside of the forums and the game itself who I idlely chat to on and off. Both I've met ON the forums however...

Not sure if that sounds like the best answer, but it was a general question.

um 43% is quite right. i don't believe they go on voice chat (in fact i don't go on and i am a male) and if they do, the last thing they would do is probably go on with you (OOOHHH BURNEDDDDDD!!! lol jk) but most of them don't act like they do when you meet them on the streets, and some women's voices are hard to tell from 13-15 year old boys so its pretty hard to tell if your playing with a women gamer. If you really want to find out if you are playing with a women gamer, ask them.

My friend list has more women on it then men. I truly enjoy playing this game with women. They seem to "get it" more. However the men I have in my friend's list are reliable upstanding decent guys that know how to have fun and play well too. It just so happens I seem to "attract" women more. Nothing sexual. It must be the "Father" in me. Never hurts to be respectful either. I love to kid around with women...even flirt(There is a correct way of doing that as well), but I never get vulger. I have noticed when we have women in our groups that we have never known before they stay focused and are willing to Lead or Follow. Depending on the quest/mission and what is required at that time.

Swampgirl? So you are from Louisiana? I'll bet you have a wonderful speaking voice. Something about southern women when they speak they melt my soul. <---Harmless Flirt

I've been living in Texas too long. I think I've lost my N'awlins accent long ago...

A few years ago at the Game Developers Conference I watched a championship Quake player tool everyone SHE played. You got a free T-Shirt if you could beat her. A buddy of mine (big time FPS player) died 5 or 6 times.

The only guy that I saw get a t-shirt only received it because the girl quake player accidently fell in the lava and that counted as a kill.

I honestly can only think of one gamer chick that I new from highschool, maybe 2 besides my sister. I can't even talk to any.of my friends about games or rpg's because they would just get this look on their face-
Although, if you do start talking about it because you did something neat, they just kinda sit there and say "okk..." Can be frustrating at times when you can't share a thing interest.

Oh well, their loss.
Exactly my thoughts on it.

I know what you mean, Rayawni. It's like my husband and I have two sets of friends: gamers and non-gamers. We are fortunate that we do have some gaming friends, but the others get that glazed-over look if you start talking about games too much.

Keesa, I was born and raised in South Louisiana. That's where "Swampgirl" comes from. I moved to NE Dallas about 7 years ago.

*heart all aflutter* I've never been popular....

Exactly! That was what I was looking for.

People sometimes just are clueless about it. I can't think of any friends that I have that are really into games like my family and my boyfriend is.

I don't think I was ever popular...well with girls at my school anyways. I always did a lot of things with guys and play sports and just goof off. All the girls would wory about was hair, boys...and who was sleeping with who...it's sad but true...

I'm always on my best behavior. =)
Most of the time...
Well, yea. I think...

Those type of girls who play games and still have a social life are always great to have around. =) Double the fun so to speak because you can relate on different subjects for general conversation. Makes for wonderful chats and inside jokes sometimes. And least we forget, those wonderful moonlite walks along the ocean or pier on some nice romantic night... Both of you laughing because someone brought up that a man with a fire weapon died because he was covered in snow. (Always found that amusing myself.)

Ok, maybe I'm never on good behavior. LoL, the cleanist post I've ever made.
